"Let's Roll." Those were the words of United Airlines Flight 93 passenger Todd Beamer as he & other brave Americans sacrificed themselves to prevent a 4th attack on 9 /11/01. Tomorrow will mark the 8th anniversary of that tragic & heroic day. Remember watching NYPD & FDNY heroes charge into those buildings to find survivors in the crumbling towers? How about that maginificent flag draped across the Pentagon as smoke billowed in the background?
These days, 9/11 is routinely downplayed as the work of a madman and a small deranged group of followers. There are citizens in this country claiming, maybe hoping, it was an inside job or, at least, a preventable disaster, allowed to occur for political gain. Others reason that we somehow brought it on ourselves through some injustice to other nations, resulting in hatred toward Americans.
We're under attack again, this time from within. Radical extremists in Washington are driving the bus, trying to run over our constitution, our freedom, our way of life. Our legislators, representatives & our President are pushing a hard left agenda, Marxist in many ways. They're in a big hurry, trying desperately to avoid public scrutiny & real debate. Unfortunately, they have an edge as many Americans are complacent when it comes to politics. If the majority, regardless of party, won't wake up, take a real interest, & voice outrage very soon, we'll all find our freedoms crushed, our economy damaged beyond repair, and our America will be gone.
Sound like an alarmist? Well, the clock is ticking & we're going to crash & burn if Americans don't make their voices and votes count. How many will step up this time & courageously shout - "Let's Roll!"
